The Role

We're looking for a versatile and resourceful Software Developer to join our small, hands-on team. You'll tackle a wide range of challenges across our entire tech stack, with a primary focus on the backend systems that power our technology.

This is a role for a true problem-solver. You'll be responsible for everything from designing data processing pipelines and building robust APIs to optimizing our cloud infrastructure. You'll work closely with the team to design, build, and manage the systems our clients rely on. This is a role for a builder; you'll be building and shipping solutions in a fast-moving environment where your work makes a tangible impact quickly.

What You'll Do

Design, develop, and maintain backend services and data processing systems, primarily using Python.

Solve complex technical problems across different parts of our software stack.

Collaborate with the team to design and implement robust, scalable, and secure software solutions on AWS.

Develop and maintain APIs that are consumed by our front-end applications.

Contribute to our DevOps practices to improve our build and release pipelines.

Work with a modern tech stack, including Python, Postgres, Docker, and AWS.

Take ownership of projects from the initial idea through to deployment and maintenance.

What You'll Bring

Proven experience in a software engineering role with a strong foundation in Python programming.

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work through complex technical challenges independently.

Experience with cloud platforms, specifically AWS.

Experience with standard DevOps practices and tools (e.g., Linux, Docker, git, CI/CD).

A passion for shipping high-quality, reliable code.

You must have the right to work in Australia.

Bonus Points: Expertise with web technologies such as React.js, TypeORM, TypeScript, or Node.js is highly regarded.
