The role
Join us as our Manager - Asset and Spatial Information Support Team and play a pivotal role in shaping how we manage and use critical data across the organisation.
In this leadership position, you'll be the driving force behind the quality, accessibility, and strategic use of our asset and spatial data, enabling smarter decisions, smoother operations, and stronger asset performance. You'll lead a dedicated team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement, while ensuring our data practices meet compliance standards and support our long-term goals.
Your key responsibilities
Business Management - Lead the strategy and operations for asset and spatial data management, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and compliance across systems like Maximo, GIS and Redeye. Drive data quality improvement, cost-effective service delivery, and alignment with enterprise digital strategies. Partner with stakeholders to turn data into insights and support effective asset management across the business.
- Financial Management - Manage budgets and financial performance by planning, monitoring and controlling spend in line with priorities. Drive cost efficiency through process and system improvements, ensure accurate forecasting and reporting, and maintain compliance with audit, regulatory and governance standards.
- People and Culture - Develop team capability and promote a culture of accountability, coloration and continuous improvement, while fostering an inclusive and supportive work environment.
What we're looking for
- Demonstrated knowledge of principles and application of asset management systems
- Strong knowledge of asset management systems and data platforms (e.g., IBM Maximo, GIS, RedEye).
- Working understanding of database design and management activities and how IT architectural design principles are applied
- Experience in leading and implementing data strategies and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Strong understanding of IT SDLC, Solution Architecture
- Demonstrated leadership in building capability, mentoring, and supporting team members
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Engineering, Science or I.T
