Anderlea Pork is seeking a dedicated and motivated Pig Farmer to join our close-knit team. We’re a family-run business with strong core values, offering a supportive and collaborative work environment. This is a hands-on role with involvement across all areas of our operation—including breeder unit, grower unit, and feed mill.
We offer full-time hours, accommodation in a newly renovated home close to site, and the opportunity to grow your skills with training and support.
Key Responsibilities:
Participate in daily farm operations including feeding, watering, cleaning, and livestock inspections.
Monitor and optimise herd health and performance under guidance from management.
Assist with breeding, farrowing, piglet and weaner care including AI and natural matings.
Operate and maintain farm equipment, water systems, pens, and sheds.
Support logistics including weighing, selection, and transport of sale livestock.
Maintain accurate records for stock and inventory control.
Ensure compliance with the Company’s Quality Assurance program.
Participate in industry training and workshops.
Perform other duties as directed by the Farm Manager or Assistant Manager.
What We Offer:
Full-time employment with competitive salary: $75,000 – $77,000 + superannuation (based on experience).

About You:
Previous piggery experience is essential.
AQF Certificate III in Agriculture (Pig Production), or equivalent qualifications + 3 years relevant experience, OR 5 years of recent and relevant experience.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Physically fit and capable of performing labour-intensive tasks.
Willing to work a 1-in-3 weekend roster.
Able to follow procedures and work to high animal welfare standards.
Current Australian C Class Driver’s Licence.
Maintenance and repairs experience is a plus.
