The Role

Reporting to the Head of Financial Planning & Analysis, this role is pivotal in connecting financial results to operational performance. You’ll partner directly with ANZ General Managers to deliver commercial insights, evaluate performance trends, and support strategic decision-making.

You’ll also lead process improvement initiatives across finance and operations, identifying automation opportunities, improving reporting capabilities, and mentoring junior members of the planning and reporting team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Partner with ANZ General Managers and operational leaders to analyse performance and identify improvement opportunities.
• Build and maintain financial models that drive insights into key business metrics and commercial drivers.
• Provide ongoing reporting, analysis, and commentary on business results, including ad hoc projects and performance investigations.
• Identify risks and opportunities within operations and propose actionable strategies.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and month-end analysis, including revenue and expenditure commentary.
• Oversee cost model analysis for new and existing clients.
• Support preparation of monthly and quarterly incentive and bonus calculations.
• Assist with month-end journals and accruals to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Mentor and develop team members, fostering a collaborative, high-performing culture.

About You

You’re an analytical and commercially minded finance professional who thrives on turning data into actionable insight. You enjoy working cross-functionally, solving complex problems, and driving efficiency through process improvement and technology.
You’re confident, proactive, and passionate about influencing results through strong business partnerships and clear communication.

Skills & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline.
• CA or CPA qualified (or equivalent).
• 5+ years’ experience in a commercial finance, FP&A, or business partnering role.
• Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with financial analysis tools (Power BI desirable).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving ability with a data-driven mindset.
• Proven experience building models, delivering insights, and supporting executive decision-making.
• High level of commercial acumen with the ability to identify risks, opportunities, and trends.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience in the travel or services industry is desirable but not essential.
