Job Description

Preparing and analysing construction budgets, Bill of Quantities (BOQs), and detailed cost plans.

Performing accurate quantity take-offs and measurements using BIM software (Revit, CostX, Kreo).

Preparing construction bank finance reports for major and minor banks and financial institutions.

Conducting progress drawdown inspections on-site to assess construction progress and certify claims.

Creating and maintaining essential strata registers and reports, including Insurance Valuation Reports, Capital Works Plans, Asbestos Registers, WHS Reports, Initial Maintenance Schedules, Child Safety Lock Audits, and Play Equipment Safety Audits.

Developing Shared Facilities Registers and Allocation of Costs Reports for complex BMC schemes.

Conducting site inspections to identify defects and preparing detailed reports for SBBIS developments.

Improving and automating Excel templates and reporting processes to increase efficiency.

Collaborating with clients, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure cost control, risk management, and adherence to project timelines.

Qualifications & Requirements

Full working rights in Australia.

Relevant Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent.

2-3+ years’ post-graduate experience in Cost Management or Quantity Surveying role in the Australian market.

Proven experience with cost planning, estimating, BOQs, cost control, contract management, variations and claims.

Proficiency in tools such as CostX, Revit, and Microsoft Office (strong Excel skills)

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills

Excellent communication, report writing, and negotiation skills, with ability to effectively manage stakeholders.

Progress towards RICS or AIQS membership

Driver’s licence and willing to travel for site inspections (desirable)
