About the Role
We’re looking for a detail-driven and organised Contract Administration and Rates Officer to join our team. In this role, you’ll provide outstanding customer service to property owners and contractors while also ensuring the City’s contracts and rates systems are accurate, compliant, and well maintained.
You’ll be responsible for:
Maintaining and updating the City’s contract register, ensuring details remain accurate and current
Recording contractor insurance, licences, and qualifications in line with Council requirements
Keeping supporting documentation, issue logs, and communications organised and up to date
Preparing agendas and minutes for contract-related meetings
Assisting with documentation for contract variations, extensions, and performance reviews
Handling rates enquiries via phone, email, and in person
Processing property and rating transactions, including receipting, rebates, refunds, and Advice of Sales
Maintaining the property database and ensuring street addressing complies with legislation
About You
You’re someone who loves accuracy, systems, and service. You enjoy keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes, and your eye for detail means nothing slips through the cracks. You take pride in delivering helpful, professional customer service and supporting both your team and the community.
You’ll thrive in this role if you have:
Experience in administration, records management, or contract coordination
A good understanding of property or rates processes (or a willingness to learn)
Strong organisational and time management skills
Confidence using databases, spreadsheets, and Microsoft Office
A professional, friendly manner when dealing with customers and contractors
The ability to work both independently and as part of a supportive team
