Full time, Fixed term from 22.12.25 until 03.04.28 (2 years 3 months)
Salary: VPS 5.1 - $113,022 - $124,884 pa + 12% super
Location: 8/12 Seymour St, Traralgon (A minimum of three days working from the Traralgon office is required)

About the role:
Reporting to the Regional Manager, you'll manage a small team delivering education, compliance monitoring, inspections, and enforcement actions to prevent harm from pollution and waste.
This senior role suits an experienced operational regulator ready to lead through change, foster partnerships across government, industry and community, and drive high standards of performance and integrity.
In this role you will:
- Lead and manage regional operations aligned to EPA's strategic priorities.
- Oversee resource allocation, planning, and team development.
- Respond to environmental and public health incidents.
- Conduct investigations and deliver preventative compliance programs.
- Ensure safety-first regulatory operations and legislative compliance.
Skills and experience:
- Proven leadership in a regulatory environment (e.g. environmental regulation).
- Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and regulatory frameworks.
- Ability to lead high-performing teams and drive continuous improvement.
- Innovative, collaborative, and committed to making a difference.
