VisitCanberra, the ACT’s destination marketing organisation, is seeking a Senior Marketing Officer to join the marketing team.

In this role, you’ll lead a team to deliver content for paid (content partnerships; support for masterbrand and international campaigns), owned (website, eDM and publications), earned (coordinating and hosting famils, content library acquisition and administration), and shared (partner and stakeholder) channels.

This role offers diversity in what your day-to-day looks like. Daily tasks can range from crafting a photoshoot brief, writing copy to run in international media, developing publications or working with a partner to provide content requirements, all in pursuit of the ACT Government’s T2030 vision to make Canberra “a thriving, sustainable destination that benefits Canberrans”.

Eligibility/Other requirements:

Essential:

• Australian Driver’s licence.
• Flexibility to work weekends and evenings on occasion and during key event periods.

Desirable:

• Sound understanding of social media and website best practice protocols (or ability to quickly acquire such knowledge).
• A qualification in journalism, public relations, marketing communications or related disciplines.
• Sound knowledge of Canberra and region events, tourism products and experiences (or desire to quickly acquire).
• Video and graphic design editing skills using programs like Adobe Pro and InDesign.
