Our Opportunity

Are you passionate about supporting families and leading impactful programs? Join Cafs, a values-driven organisation, as our Team Leader - Family Relationships. This role sits within our Family Support Team. As the Team Leader, you will lead and supervise a team of counsellors and practitioners delivering the Ballarat Children's Contact Service, Post-Separation Co-operative Parenting Program, and Family Relationships Counselling Program. You'll ensure services are trauma-informed, client-focused, and aligned with funder requirements.

About You

We are looking for a motivated, values-driven individual with substantial experience working with vulnerable families and/or children, and experience supervising staff. You'll thrive working both autonomously and collaboratively within a dynamic team.

Skills & Attributes
  • Tertiary qualifications (Diploma and above) in Social Work, Welfare Studies, Family Therapy, Family Violence, Psychology or related discipline
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong client relationships, fostering a culture of trust, collaboration, and positive outcomes
  • Demonstrated experience in leading teams and delivering family support services
  • Proven leadership in managing teams, including performance development, coaching, and creating a learning-focused environment that supports continuous improvement
