The Toowoomba Integrated Mental Health Hub is an innovative new model of integrated stepped care, transforming the way mental health and wellbeing support is delivered across Queensland. Wellways, together with our consortia partners Each, Lumsden Psychology, QPASTT and Goondir will provide seamless, free and voluntary services built on the principles of no wrong door, community inclusion and consumer choice and control.
Wellways is seeking a Psychosocial Team Leader to lead and support a dedicated team of Peer and Recovery Workers. If you are ready to lead change, foster collaboration and build something truly impactful, we want to hear from you!
About the role
As the Psychosocial Team Leader, you will provide day-to-day leadership, guidance and mentoring to your team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, recovery-oriented and culturally responsive services across the Hub. You'll support staff development, encourage reflective practice and foster strong partnerships across Wellways, partner organisations and the wider community.
As the Psychosocial Team Leader, you will:
- Guide the development of individual support plans with a focus on skills, knowledge and wellbeing goals
- Promote trauma-informed, culturally safe practice in service delivery and staff development
- Encourage collaboration through Communities of Practice, supervision and team development activities
- Build strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless care pathways
- Oversee operational requirements including reporting and administrative processes
About you
You are an experienced leader with a passion for mental health and community services. You bring strong people leadership skills, a reflective practice approach and the ability to build and sustain partnerships that create meaningful outcomes for participants.
Pre employment requirements:
- Relevant degree with relevant experience/associate diploma with substantial experience or qualifications in more than one discipline
- Demonstrated experience in working within a mental health setting, leading teams or equivalent community-based support role
- Appropriate IT skills
- Right to Work within Australia
- Current valid Driver's License and the ability to undertake travel for the role
- Current Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Current Police Check.
