Your Role

We are seeking an experienced Family Law Paralegal to join our Maitland office. You will play a key role in supporting our dedicated team of lawyers, assisting with case preparation, document drafting, and managing client files from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities:

Drafting from dictation family law documents including affidavits, consent orders, and correspondence

Managing lawyers’ diaries, appointments, and deadlines with precision

Maintaining and organising client files efficiently (electronic and physical)

Liaising with clients, counsel, and external parties professionally and empathetically

Assisting with briefing and preparation for hearings and mediations

Using LEAP Legal Software and Microsoft 365 Suite to manage workflows and documentation

About You

You are a confident and capable Family Law Paralegal who thrives in a fast-paced environment and brings a high level of accuracy, initiative, and empathy to your work.

Essential Qualifications & Skills:

3–5 years’ experience as a Paralegal (preferably in Family Law)

Strong knowledge of Family Law Rules, practice and procedures

Excellent drafting, communication, and organisational skills

High attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities

Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and LEAP Legal Software

A compassionate approach to client care and teamwork
