WHAT'S THE JOB?
The Digital & Social Media Coordinator is responsible for working collaboratively with the Marketing and Recruitment teams on the delivery and execution of the AIM marketing plan, content strategy, social media management and calendar of activities. The key areas of focus are SEO management, social media strategy and management, community development, digital marketing campaign support (EDM), website content management, events management and content generation across multiple channels.
Having a commercial mindset, you will work closely with marketing and recruitment teams to deliver measurable digital initiatives that drive community and student enrolment and reduce attrition. This role effectively contributes to the achievement of the department and Institute’s operational and strategic plans. As an active member of the Marketing and Recruitment team, they will positively influence the day-to-day performance of the team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage and execute the content strategy of all AIM social media platforms and continually monitor interactions with AIM, responding to direct messages and comments, posting content, etc.
- Activate, develop, manage, monitor and report on social media channels.
- Train and guide the Casual Marketing Assistants to produce content and posts for social media and approve the content.
- Grow social media KPI’s.
- Be the primary AIM contact for social media.
- Plan, develop and execute a 30-day growing to 90-day content plan across all digital channels.
- Participate in planning digital campaign strategies to align SEO with SEM across digital channels.
- Contribute ideas for the growth of AIM’s digital channels with a focus on opportunities to grow student enrolment.
- Ensure key AIM events, campus life and noteworthy industry insights are captured in social channels.
- Support the Recruitment and Event Manager to organise and execute marketing events.
- Oversee the content strategy and guide the Casual Marketing Assistants and third parties to produce relevant content to target audiences across appropriate digital channels.
- Work with partners (photographer, copywriter, videographer) to create and develop content as per the content plan.
- Ensure that for all projects and communications pieces, resulting communications are compliant with regulatory requirements (including TEQSA and ESOS).
- Assist in creating and posting content to AIM’s website (primarily news & events and ad hoc page updates), and SharePoint intranet.
- Partner with the Marketing and Recruitment team on all initiatives to ensure required assets and content are on brand.
- Work with the Marketing team on the website project to improve the CMS performance and design.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
- Demonstrated social media experience.
- Experience of working with digital media campaigns across channels.
- Experience of managing social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, LinkedIn, etc.
- Experience on video content creation, video production and editing for social media.
- Demonstrated experience with Content Management Systems such as WordPress Working knowledge of marketing automation tools (e.g. Active Campaign).
- Demonstrate capacity to quickly learn and adapt to new technology or related tools and platforms.
- Operating Content Management Systems (e.g. Kentico, WordPress, Drupal). Knowledge of basic SEO principles.
- Experience in the music industry (desirable).
- Previous experience working in a higher education environment (desirable).

SALARY
Permanent, Full-Time: $84,000-$88,000 + 12% super (per annum)
