About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced and motivated Fleet Coordinator / Transport Allocator to join our transport operations team.

In this hands-on and fast-paced role, you’ll be responsible for managing fleet scheduling, driver allocation, and the efficient movement of materials across our network. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys being at the centre of daily logistics activity.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and coordinate daily delivery routes, allocating jobs to drivers efficiently.

Manage fleet schedules and dispatch loads with a strong sense of urgency and attention to detail.

Communicate clearly with drivers, customers, and internal teams to ensure smooth daily operations.

Maximise fleet utilisation and oversee time-critical deliveries.

Liaise with quarry, operations, and subcontractor teams to ensure seamless freight movement.

Process customer orders and respond to enquiries with professionalism and accuracy.

Maintain a focus on safety, compliance, and customer satisfaction at all times.

Hours: Monday to Friday, starting at 6:30 AM, with flexibility for longer days when required.

About You

You’re proactive, organised, and enjoy solving challenges in a fast-moving transport environment. You work well under pressure, make confident decisions, and have strong communication and multitasking skills.

To be successful, you’ll need:

Proven experience in a transport allocation, fleet coordination, or logistics dispatch role.

Strong understanding of Melbourne’s metro road network and local delivery operations.

Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with drivers, customers, and team members.

Strong organisational and time management skills.

Ability to work effectively under pressure in a busy, deadline-driven environment.

Team-focused mindset and commitment to safety and continuous improvement.
