About the role
As the Supervisor/Specialist Radiographer CT, you will play a vital role in leading and supporting the CT medical imaging team, ensuring high operational standards and quality service delivery. Working closely with the Section Head Radiographer CT, you will assist in managing both physical and human resources to provide a safe, efficient and excellent patient-centred service.
Your established leadership skills will help set priorities, foster collaboration, and ensure the needs of our patients are consistently met with professionalism and care.
In this position, you will perform and be an expert in complex CT imaging procedures across a wide range of clinical specialities, exercising a high level of professional independence. You will also play a pivotal role in advancing the field by mentoring radiographers, developing CT practice standards, and supporting research and quality assurance initiatives. About You
You will be an experienced and motivated Radiographer with specialised CT expertise and proven leadership capability. With extensive clinical experience and a commitment to professional excellence, you will combine technical knowledge with the ability to guide, support and develop others in a dynamic healthcare environment.
· Qualifications – Degree or equivalent qualification in Diagnostic Radiography, accredited with the Australian Institute of Radiography (or equivalent), and registration with the Medical Radiation Practice Board of Australia. Holds a current Radiation Protection and Control Act (SA) licence and formal CT competency.
· Skills and Attributes – Strong communication and interpersonal skills, proven ability to prioritise workloads and manage change, capacity to lead multidisciplinary teams, perform a wide range of CT procedures (including complex imaging), and mentor junior staff.
· Experience – Extensive CT imaging practice, including supervisory responsibilities, quality assurance program development, research contributions, and policy/protocol development.
· Knowledge – Detailed understanding of radiology best practice, quality assurance standards, human resource principles, RIS and PACS systems, medico-legal responsibilities, and safe delivery of imaging services.
