About the role
The Inglewood Inn is seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our kitchen team. Just 30 minutes from the CBD and 15 minutes from Modbury, this full-time role is ideal for a motivated leader who values creativity, teamwork, and genuine hospitality.
You’ll be at the helm of a well-established kitchen, working with a seasonal, South Australian-focused menu that celebrates the producers of the Adelaide Hills and beyond. Our venue caters to a mix of locals, day-trippers, and private events - from long lunches and winter fireside dinners to weddings and large functions overlooking the Para River and rolling hills.
This position has become available as our current Head Chef takes extended health leave, so we’re looking for someone who can start soon and continue the strong standards already in place.
What you’ll be doing
Developing and implementing creative, seasonal menus that showcase the best local produce
Leading a talented kitchen team with a focus on consistency, quality, and collaboration
Overseeing service for both à la carte dining and high-end functions and weddings
Managing stock, food costs, and supplier relationships to maintain profitability
Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and food hygiene standards
Working closely with the front-of-house and management teams to deliver an exceptional guest experience
What we’re looking for
Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous in a quality restaurant or hotel
Strong leadership and communication skills, with a calm and positive management style
Passion for seasonal, South Australian produce and local suppliers
Experience coordinating both restaurant service and function catering
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
Flexible, adaptable, and hands-on approach
