About the Role
We have a number of fantastic opportunities within our Operational Engineering Maintenance team!
We are currently seeking self-motivated, enthusiastic, and skilled individuals to join us, who have demonstrated industry experience in road, stormwater drainage, and infrastructure asset maintenance. The positions are suited to someone who enjoys working outdoors and may be required to work in high traffic and congested areas, where safety is an important aspect of the position when operating and maintaining tools, plant, and equipment. The successful appointees will be responsible for:
- Compliance with relevant Work Health and Safety legislation and ensuring that work carried out is done safely, efficiently and to current best practice
- Operating and maintaining tools, plant and equipment
- Undertaking road, stormwater drainage, and maintenance of the City's road infrastructure assets
About you
As a collaborative member of the Operational Engineering Maintenance team, the successful appointee should be adaptable and thrive working in a very busy and change driven organisation. As such, applicants must be able to demonstrate through their resume and covering letter that they meet the following criteria:
- Experience in the operation and maintenance of multi-function plant and equipment
- Experience in engineering maintenance procedures and best practice
- Experience or knowledge in the use of information systems and technology
- Main Roads WA Basic Worksite Traffic Management and Traffic Controller accreditation (desirable)
- MR class vehicle licence
- Safety awareness certification (Blue/White card)
- Basic literacy and numeracy
- The ability to work as part of a team
