Position Overview

We are seeking a qualified and experienced painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be confident in all aspects of painting and decorating—from surface preparation and cutting-in to rolling, spraying, and minor patching—and will take genuine pride in their work. Reliability, professionalism, and attention to detail are essential.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out interior and exterior painting on residential and commercial properties

Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling, and priming as required

Apply paints, stains, and finishes using brush, roller, or spray

Maintain clean and safe work areas and care for tools and equipment

Read job specifications, follow colour schedules, and communicate with supervisors and clients

Assist in estimating materials and job timeframes when required

Ensure all work meets safety, environmental, and quality standards

Skills and Experience

Certificate III in Painting and Decorating (or equivalent experience)

Minimum 3 years' trade experience preferred

Strong understanding of paint systems, surface preparation, and coating application

Competent in brush, roller, and spray techniques

Able to work independently or as part of a small team

Reliable transport and basic tools required

White Card (Construction Induction) essential

A current driver's license is essential due to the need to travel between various project sites.

Candidates must have valid Australian work rights to be eligible for this position.
