Join a Values-Led Organisation and Be the Bright Face of Our Daily Operations

Are you a warm, organised, and proactive person who enjoys being the first point of contact in a busy and meaningful workplace? We’re looking for a reliable Receptionist to join our team and help keep our day-to-day operations running smoothly. If you enjoy variety, take pride in your workspace, and love supporting others, this is the perfect role for you.

About the Role

As the Receptionist, you’ll be the first friendly face our clients, families, and visitors see—and often the first voice they hear. This role is so much more than just answering phones; you’ll be creating a safe, welcoming, and professional environment that reflects the values of our organisation.

Working in a sector where people may be facing challenges or vulnerabilities, your calm, caring and empathetic nature will go a long way in making people feel seen, heard, and supported. You’ll be responsible for greeting clients with warmth and dignity, ensuring their first interaction with us sets a positive tone for the services they receive.

At the same time, you'll keep things running smoothly behind the scenes—coordinating room bookings for therapy and group sessions, organising catering, managing supplies, and taking ownership of the daily housekeeping tasks that make our space feel safe, clean, and calm for everyone who walks through our doors.

What We Offer

The opportunity to work in a values-led organisation that is committed to creating a positive and inclusive work environment

A dynamic and supportive team environment

Professional development opportunities

A competitive salary and benefits package with above-Award conditions

Key Responsibilities

Answering and managing phone calls with care, discretion, and efficiency

Responding to general enquiries and supporting smooth communication between teams

Coordinating room bookings and preparing spaces for meetings, therapy, and group programs

Ensuring the reception area and common spaces are tidy, welcoming, and well-maintained

Taking responsibility for daily housekeeping tasks

Ordering and maintaining stock

Assisting with petty cash and basic administrative finance tasks

Supporting mail collection and distribution

Providing light catering support for internal events and therapy groups

About You

You’re friendly, approachable, and take real pride in how a space feels and functions. You enjoy helping others and making sure everything is in the right place at the right time. You’re organised, dependable, and happy to roll up your sleeves to get things done.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Previous experience in a reception or front desk role (preferred)

Strong customer service and interpersonal skills

Good time management and the ability to manage competing tasks

A positive attitude and willingness to help wherever needed

Confidence using phone systems and Microsoft Office Suite

Basic knowledge of mail handling, petty cash, and ordering processes (desirable)

A hands-on, team-oriented mindset and a genuine sense of ownership in your work

Our Organisation

DVAC is committed to creating a safe and inclusive work environment. We value diversity, equity, and inclusion, and we are committed to creating a workplace culture that reflects our organisational values.

How to Apply

If you are a warm, professional, and organised individual who thrives in a client-facing role and takes pride in creating a welcoming environment, we would love to hear from you.

Please submit your resume and a cover letter outlining your relevant experience and what draws you to this opportunity.
