About the role

We’re seeking an experienced and motivated Home Support Team Leader to join our Aged and Community Support Branch. In this role, you will provide leadership, guidance and day-to-day management to a team of Home Support Workers and administration staff. You will ensure quality, responsive and person-centred support services are delivered in line with the Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP) and HACC Program for Younger People (HACCPYP).

The role involves a strong focus on client outcomes, staff supervision and service delivery. You’ll oversee allocation of staff, monitor client needs, develop support plans, and ensure compliance with service and safety standards. As a Team Leader, you’ll foster collaboration, continuous improvement and a culture of respect, equity and inclusion.

Skills and experience require to perform the role
  • Tertiary qualifications in aged, disability, health, community services or a related field
  • Demonstrated experience in staff supervision, coaching and people management
  • Knowledge of ageing, disability and their impact on individuals and families
  • Experience in service delivery within community, health or aged care settings
  • Computer literacy and experience using client management systems (Carelink+ desirable)
  • Current Working with Children Check and Driver’s Licence
