Anaconda, Australia’s leading outdoor adventure and lifestyle retailer, is seeking a talented and strategic Digital Content Specialist to elevate our brand presence across all digital channels (website, social, email, etc.). This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-performing, innovative team and become the central architect of our digital content roadmap.
This is a 12-month fixed-term contract with a strong scope for extension, based in our vibrant hybrid office environment, centrally located near South Melbourne Market.

What you will be doing:
You’ll be responsible for the end-to-end planning, execution, and performance of content across all digital platforms:
Strategic Content Orchestration: Own and manage the entire digital content calendar (website, blog, email, social) to ensure flawless alignment with major marketing campaigns, category priorities, and commercial objectives.
Performance & Optimisation: Be the data-driven champion! Leverage SEO, Google Analytics, and engagement metrics to continuously monitor content performance, provide actionable insights, and ensure content is a traffic and conversion driver.
Collaborative Delivery: Act as the central hub, coordinating effortlessly with internal marketing, category, and commercial teams, as well as managing crucial external influencer and content creator partnerships to deliver timely, on-brand content.
Innovation & Thought Leadership: Stay ahead of the curve in digital trends. Proactively recommend new content formats, platforms, and strategies that will give Anaconda a competitive edge in the fast-paced retail landscape.
We're looking for an experienced specialist who is passionate about both content strategy & measurable commercial outcomes:
Proven Content Strategy Experience: Demonstrated success in developing and managing robust content strategies across multiple digital platforms (web, social, email, blog).
Data & Performance Fluency: A solid, practical understanding of SEO principles, digital content optimisation, and the ability to turn performance analytics into clear business recommendations.
Exceptional Coordination & Stakeholder Management: Superior organisational skills and the ability to engage, align, and drive outcomes with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
Influencer Management Experience: Direct experience managing or overseeing effective relationships and campaigns with content creators or influencers.
Commercial Acumen: You are a highly proactive, commercially aware individual who is prepared to contribute to budget discussions and resource planning to ensure efficiency.
