THE ROLE

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated Building Surveyor to join a growing team in inner-city Perth.
You’ll take ownership of diverse projects, applying your technical knowledge of the Building Code of Australia, State Building legislation. The position offers exposure to a mix of project types, allowing you to expand your experience across both residential and commercial sectors while being supported by a collaborative and experienced leadership team. If you just want to only work on commercial projects too that is also an option.

DUTIES

• Building certification (issuing of regulatory certificates, CDC, CCC, CBC);
• Building Code compliance reviews associated with the preparation of regulatory certificates.
• Site inspections – building certification (where we have issued CDC/s);
• Site inspections – building code consultancy (existing buildings being redeveloped, due diligence etc);
• Preparation of Building Code compliance reports – during design phases of projects;
• Preparation of Building Code compliance reports – during feasibility/due diligence phases;
• Preparation of site inspection records – during construction phase of projects;
• Process improvement ie. review of internal processes, checklists, documentation;
• Participation in internal forums – reviewing Building Code and legislation interpretations;
• Attendance at design meetings (face-to-face and remote); and
• Liaison with new and existing clients on current and future projects.

ABOUT YOU

• 2-3 years experience as a building surveyor
• Extensive knowledge of the BCA
• Residential and/or commercial building surveying experience
