Job Description:
As an Estimator and CA, you will play a crucial role in our operations by accurately estimating project costs and managing contract-related tasks. Your dual role will ensure our projects run smoothly from the initial bid to final completion, while also supporting our management team with contract administration.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and submit accurate cost estimates for commercial tiling projects.
• Utilise estimating software and tools to calculate material, labour, and time requirements.
• Analyse project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare estimates.
• Coordinate with suppliers, contractors, and project managers to gather necessary information.
• Track and manage project budgets, timelines, and variations.
• Draft, review, and manage contracts, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
• Assist with contract negotiations and liaise with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
• Maintain organised records of all estimates, contracts, and correspondence.
• Provide administrative support, including scheduling meetings, managing emails, and handling correspondence.
• Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and team members.
• Perform general office duties and support management as required.
Requirements:
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Experience with estimating software (e.g., Buildxact, PlanSwift, CostX, or similar).
• Knowledge of the construction industry, particularly in tiling or related trades.
• Previous experience in an estimating or contract administration role in construction.
• Excellent organisational skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.
• A proactive and resourceful approach to problem-solving.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in the tiling industry or a related construction field.
• Familiarity with project management and contract management software.
• Previous experience in a dual-role position.
