HarperLloyd Recruitment is proud to be partnering with a leading mid-tier national law firm to find a confident and detail-focused Legal Assistant to support their high-performing Real Estate team in Melbourne.

This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with a Practice Group Partner on complex property matters — perfect for someone who enjoys drafting, document work, and being a key support in a busy practice.

The Opportunity

You’ll be supporting real estate lawyers across:

• Litigation and advisory matters

• Commercial property sales

• Settlements within high-rises

• Flat land development

• Body corporate matters

• Leasing

What You’ll Be Doing

Working closely with a Practice Group Partner, this role is ideal for someone who enjoys drafting and managing legal documents while supporting broader practice needs. Duties include:

• Drafting, generating, and manipulating documents

• Diary, travel, and email management

• File handling and maintenance

• Liaising with multiple stakeholders (internal and external)

• Limited monthly billing

What We’re Looking For

• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Legal Secretary or Legal Assistant

• Strong organisation, communication skills, and attention to detail

• Background in Legal, Commercial, or Residential Property is ideal

• Confidence working independently and managing competing priorities

• Law students who can work full-time are also encouraged to apply

• Quasi paralegal tasks may be offered for the right candidate
