The Department for Infrastructure and Transport plays a vital role connecting people and places in South Australia by delivering a multi-billion-dollar pipeline of transport and social infrastructure projects, operating and maintaining thousands of kilometres of roads and managing our city’s public transport network.

Reporting to the Manager, Workforce Management, the Unit Manager, Recruitment and Employment is responsible for overseeing the Department’s recruitment processes to deliver a streamlined, efficient and high-quality recruitment service across the Department. The role reviews existing systems and practices and drives continuous improvement in alignment with whole-of-government recruitment frameworks.

The successful candidate will bring a sound understanding of public sector legislation, demonstrated experience in end-to-end recruitment processes and a commitment to continuous improvement. They will lead initiatives that streamline recruitment operations, optimise the use of the Department’s e-recruitment system and enhance the experience for both candidates and hiring managers.

Special Conditions
The successful candidate will be required to provide a National Police Check prior to employment with the Department which must be renewed every 3 years.

Some out of hours and weekend work may be required.
