About the role

We are seeking a highly capable and adaptable Site Engineer/Project Engineer to join an established head contractor who completes projects within the commercial, residential, and remedial in Sydney, NSW. As a full-time role, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations and coordination of construction projects, ensuring their successful and timely delivery, working alongside project managers, site managers, and site foremen, CA etc.

Projects are residential high-rise, mixed-use, and commercial up to $100M, multiple projects at ECI and under construction, great time to join the business and progress with the team.

What you'll be doing

• Providing Construction expertise and technical support to the construction team
• Developing and implementing project plans, schedules, and budgets
• Monitoring project progress and identifying and resolving any issues or risks
• Liaising with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration
• Ensuring compliance with all relevant building codes, regulations, and safety standards
• Conducting site inspections and managing quality control processes
• Preparing progress reports and presentations for management and clients

What we're looking for

• Relevant local tertiary qualification in engineering or construction management
• Minimum 2 - 5 years' experience in a similar site engineer/ project Engineer role within the construction industry
• Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and time management skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with a diverse range of stakeholders
• Proficiency in project management software and tools
• Thorough understanding of construction processes, methods, and regulations
• A demonstrated commitment to workplace health and safety
