About the position:

We're looking for an easy-going, friendly and driven sales all-rounder to join a market leading baoting supplies and services provider to take their business to the next level.

With branches across Australia, they cater to an array of maritime sectors, from shipbuilders and commercial fisheries to the weekend boatie!

You will join a small team in this versatile role that blends counter sales and getting out on the road, customer service and hands-on duties ensuring that no two days are the same.

This role offers the flexibility for you to shape the role as you like, take ownership, make it your own, and drive growth. You don’t need to be a marine expert - just someone eager to learn, get involved, and take initiative.

Your Key Responsibilities:

• Be the friendly face customers rely on for marine equipment advice and support (prior marine-industry knowledge not essential, training provided)
• Prepare quotes, sales orders, and invoices with precision
• Get out on the road and conduct sales visits to existing and new business opportunities
• Spot opportunities to upsell and help customers find the right solutions
• Keep up-to-date with the latest marine products
• Help with stock handling, dispatch/receiving, and occasional local deliveries
• Assist with stocktake and warehouse upkeep, keeping things moving smoothly

What We're Looking For:

• An individual with some sales experience or you just love chatting to people and want to get into sales
• Confident, articulate, and presentable comfortable dealing with people face-to-face
• A team player who’s self-motivated, keen to learn, and not afraid to roll up their sleeves
• You’re comfortable using computers and happy to learn new systems
• A genuine interest in fishing, boating, or the marine world is not essential but a big plus (that’s who your customers are!)
• Current driver's license is essential and a forklift license is advantageous or be willing to attain one.
