Our client, a well-established design company in Melbourne is looking for a confident and qualified Industrial Designer to join and support their operations. They produce innovative products for several industries globally. This position will be hybrid, and we are looking to interview immediately.

Key Responsibilities;

Develop digital models & geometry using SolidWorks.

Create concept sketches, product illustrations, technical diagrams, drawings and design specifications.

Conceptualize ideas and provide project deliverables.

Evaluate and propose design ideas based on materials, production methods, applications, appearance and functionality.

Adapt designs where required to meet budget requirements and production methods.

Qualifications & Experience Required;

Degree in Industrial design.

Minimum 5 years of experience in an industrial design role, ideally in a manufacturing business.

Strong understanding of all stages from concept design to mass production.

Prior exposure to development & research – understanding of marketing, consumer insights and trends.

Excellent communication and ability to vocalise ideas.

This business has had very little staff turnover due to the care and support they show their staff members. You will be joining a growing and stable business with a lot of opportunity to progress your career and skills.

Depending on experience the base range will be between $90K - $110K plus super. This is a permanent position that has a hybrid model.
