Join one of Australia’s fastest-growing independent telcos and be part of a team building its own next-generation broadband network.

Our client is delivering ultra-fast gigabit internet to homes and businesses using XGS-PON, mmWave Wireless, G.Fast, and IP/MPLS technologies. This is a rare chance to work across a live carrier-grade network and gain exposure to cutting-edge infrastructure in a supportive, growth-focused environment.

About the Role

We’re seeking a Mid-Level Network Engineer to support, maintain, and enhance a rapidly expanding multi-vendor network. You’ll work hands-on with fibre and wireless technologies, respond to network incidents, assist with provisioning new services, and play an active role in performance optimisation and network upgrades.

This is a great fit for someone coming from a service provider or ISP environment who enjoys troubleshooting, automation, and working with emerging access technologies.

Key Responsibilities

Investigate and resolve network incidents across Layer 2/3 (BGP, OSPF, VLANs, STP, etc.)

Maintain and enhance IP/MPLS network operations

Assist with provisioning and commissioning of new fibre and wireless sites

Collaborate with vendors and field teams on escalations and upgrades

Monitor network performance and capacity using tools such as SolarWinds or Wireshark

Document network configurations and contribute to operational standards

Skills & Experience

3–7 years’ experience as a Network Engineer or NOC Engineer (ideally in a telco/ISP)

Strong routing and switching knowledge (BGP, OSPF, VRRP, VLANs, STP)

Experience with MikroTik, Cisco, or Fortinet network equipment

Exposure to PON, G.Fast, mmWave or other last-mile technologies (highly regarded)

Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills

CCNA, CCNP or JNCIA certification (minimum CCNA required)

Australian Citizen or PR holder

Willingness to work rostered shifts including some weekends (time in lieu provided)

Why Join

Work with fibre and wireless technologies at the forefront of Australia’s connectivity

Learn from an experienced team in a collaborative, fast-paced telco environment

Opportunity to take ownership, grow, and progress internally

Hybrid work model – Melbourne HQ with WFH flexibility

Apply today to join a telco building its own independent, hyper-fast network and take your career to the next level.
