The Role

We are seeking a passionate Diversional Therapist to design and deliver lifestyle, leisure, and wellbeing programs that enhance independence, social connection, and quality of life for our participants.

This role presents a great opportunity for someone who is creative, compassionate, and committed to making a meaningful difference in people’s lives.

Key Responsibilities

Plan, coordinate, and implement individual and group wellbeing and lifestyle programs.

Facilitate recreational, social, cultural, and community-based activities.

Promote physical, cognitive, emotional, and social well-being through engaging activities.

Encourage independence and skill development in daily living and social participation.

Collaborate with families, carers, support coordinators, and multidisciplinary teams.

Supervise and mentor support staff during activities and programs.

Maintain accurate progress notes, reports, and documentation in line with NDIS standards.

Ensure participant safety and uphold the NDIS Code of Conduct.

What We’re Looking For

Essential

Experience in disability, community services, aged care, or a related field.

NDIS Worker Screening Check & Working With Children Check (WWCC).

First Aid & CPR certificates.

Current Driver’s Licence and reliable vehicle.

Strong knowledge of NDIS, person-centred care, and community participation.

Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Desirable

Certificate III/IV or Diploma in Disability, Community Services, Social Work, or related field.

Experience designing and running lifestyle or wellbeing programs.

Knowledge of inclusive practices and behaviour support strategies.
