About the role
Are you passionate about sport, recreation, and community development?
Garnduwa is looking for a full-time Active Communities Coordinator to join our team.
Location: Fitzroy Crossing or Halls Creek
This exciting role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with local communities, schools, and service providers to deliver our Kimberley Active Communities (KAC) Project and a range of other programs and initiatives. You’ll play a key role in promoting healthy, active lifestyles across remote Aboriginal communities.
As the Active Communities Coordinator, you’ll:
Build and maintain strong relationships with community members and stakeholders.
Plan, implement and deliver sport and recreation activities that encourage positive behaviours and wellbeing.
Support and supervise the local team of casual Community Recreation Officers.
Travel regularly throughout the Kimberley region to deliver programs and connect with remote communities.
This is a hands-on, diverse role perfect for someone who enjoys being active, engaging with people, and making a real impact at a grassroots level.
