About the Opportunity
As our Pre-Employment Coach, you will
assist employment clients to gain and maintain sustainable employment in accordance with the performance, compliance and quality requirements of Vision Australia, the Department of Social Services (DSS) and the Disability Employment Services program (DES) and the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).
. In this role you will also:
- Support employment clients experiencing significant barriers to employment by focusing on intensive readiness coaching;
- Conduct readiness assessments and develop individualised career plans;
- Provide one-on-one coaching in confidence, motivation, workplace expectations, and self-advocacy,
- Coordinate and make appropriate referrals to Allied health services within and outside Vision Australia to support clients with their overall job readiness.

About You
- Qualification in Disability Services, Vocational Rehabilitation, Human Resources, Behavioural or Health Science and/or relevant experience;
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or willingness to obtain (desirable);
- Experience in employment services, vocational rehabilitation counselling, career development or a related field;
- An understanding of current government initiatives in relation to employment
