About the role
The MATSICHS Executive Business Manager role is responsible for the effective coordination and management of MATSICHS head office and administration team. In addition, being responsible for providing secretarial, administrative, and logistical support to the Executive Leadership Team. This includes meetings correspondence, diary management, office support services and logistics for event management, external meetings and travel.
Day to Day Duties include:
- Effective operational management of MATSICHS Head Office property ensuring facilities are culturally safe, accessible, and aligned with the values and needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities
- Provide leadership and management to the Administration and reception team to deliver high quality service outcomes for employees, managers, clients, and community
- Provide timely and comprehensive reports for purposes of monitoring, feedback and internal communication of key information, and continuous service improvement
- Work closely with IUIH data and evaluation team to implement strategies and improve reporting and data quality for MATSICHS
- Ensuring buildings and grounds are safe, clean, and compliant with regulations. Coordinating maintenance, managing cleaning, security, and other facility services
- Following the Onus of Responsibility guideline by ensuring that the Cultural Integrity Investment Framework is embedded in all that we do.
- Champion culturally safe practices and foster a sense of belonging across the organisation.
About you
- Strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders to provide a quality client service
- Demonstrated initiative and the ability to work independently in the completion of priorities which may have competing deadlines
- Enthusiasm and ability to work flexibly and to rapidly adapt to changing environments, including shifting priorities and role requirements
- Current C Class Drivers Licence (QLD)
- Current Criminal History Check
- Current Working with Children Clearance (QLD Blue Card)
- Current Disability Worker Screening Check (QLD Yellow Card)
Lived experience is highly valued in this role, recognising the unique insights, perspectives, and understanding it brings to community engagement, service design, and project delivery.
