We are establishing an Extended Pool for permanent, fixed term, full time, part time or casual appointments, with the possibility of a further term and/or permanency.
Permanent, full time position, immediate start.
Kalgoorlie or Northam based position, face to face delivery as needed, but preference for online delivery.
About the role
A lecturer’s primary role is to teach, facilitate learning and conduct assessment in traditional, new and innovative ways to a diverse range of clients. Lecturers will also be involved in the provision of consultancy, information and promotional services to industry, prospective students and community clients. To support this process the TAFE environment offers comprehensive industry based Training Packages and an underpinning quality system that provides a framework for delivery and assessment.
To be successful in this role you will have a Certificate IV Work Health & Safety (or equivalent). The successful applicant will also have at least 5 years of vocational or lecturing experience relevant to this position with an ability to facilitate and encourage learning.

There is a minimum qualification required to deliver accredited vocational education and training (VET) as defined by the Standards for Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) 2015 (Standards), or its successors. The current minimum qualification required is the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122 or TAE40116 or TAE40110) or a secondary teaching qualification with an Assessor Skill Set (TAESS00011 or TAESS00019 or TAESS00024).
Applicants who do not yet hold the minimum required VET credentials are still eligible to apply, however Central Regional TAFE will require the successful candidate to be enrolled, and have commenced training in, an approved training and assessment credential and record satisfactory progress to enable the credential to be completed within two years from commencement.

Kalgoorlie Staff ONLY
Lecturing staff employed in 2025 are eligible to receive a Temporary Regional Incentive of $10,000 (pa, gross – to be adjusted pro rata for FTE). Eligible staff will receive a percentage of this payment on commencement at CRTAFE, with the remainder paid on the anniversary of start date. Staff must remain employed in Kalgoorlie for 12 months to be eligible to receive the second payment.
