About the Role:

Legacy on Victoria are looking for an experienced Lifestyle/Wellbeing officer to join our team on a Permanent Part Time basis.

This is a dynamic role in which you will engage residents through fun and varied activities to provide joyful and positive experiences each day. A key part of the role is to get to know our residents and work with them to ensure they feel valued, safe, and are able to maintain strong social connections within the home. You will also work closely with care staff and catering services to identify needs and co-ordinate special events.

Your Main Responsibilities Include:

Coordinating activities and therapies as directed by the Lifestyle Coordinator

Assisting with maintaining documentation of activities and therapies according to Aged Care legislation requirements, including individual resident activity profiles

Providing one on one support to residents with physical and cognitive impairments, to meet individual needs and reduce challenging behaviours

Supporting residents to engage in individual activities, use technology, and connect with friends and family

About You:

We are looking for a Lifestyle Team Member with:

Previous experience in aged care or lifestyle/wellbeing programs - Certificate in Leisure and Lifestyle (or similar) or willingness to obtain preferable

A compassionate and person-centred approach with good communication skills

Passion for building meaningful relationships with older people

Highly organised and able to problem solve and multitask

Understand the physical, social, and emotional needs of older people

A creative mindset with an ability to engage with low and high care residents in meaningful activities
