About the Role

We’re seeking an experienced Surface Facilities Engineer to take the lead on the front-end delivery of multiple brownfield projects, with a key focus on nodal analysis and wellhead compression initiatives. You’ll play a pivotal role in the early engineering and conceptual design stages, ensuring technical integrity, constructability, and alignment with project objectives from the get-go.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead front-end engineering and conceptual design for surface facilities projects.
• Support feasibility assessments, cost estimation, and early-stage project development.
• Manage interfaces between subsurface, operations, and project delivery teams.
• Provide input into nodal analysis, compression design, and surface network optimization.
• Work closely with project engineers and discipline specialists to ensure efficient, safe, and reliable facility design outcomes.
• Review engineering documentation, technical studies, and vendor proposals.
• Champion project value and risk management through early-stage planning.

About You

You’ll bring a deep understanding of Coal Seam Gas (CSG) or conventional oil & gas surface engineering, ideally backed by operator experience. You know how to move early-phase projects from concept to execution with clarity, collaboration, and technical precision.

What You’ll Bring:

• Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Petroleum Engineering (or equivalent).
• 10+ years’ experience in surface facilities within the CSG or conventional oil & gas sectors.
• Proven capability in conceptual or early-phase project engineering.
• Strong background in compression, nodal analysis, and gathering system design.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
