About the role

YH Support is seeking Male Disability Support Worker (Advanced Fluency/Native-Level English Speaker - Mandatory due to comprehension issues and in their 20s preferred) to join our team in Lalor, Epping VIC and surrounding areas to support a young client on the spectrum.

This is a casual position, with shifts scheduled on weekdays after school hours, from 3:30 pm to 6:00 pm.

What you'll be doing

Assisting clients with personal care, such as showering, dressing, and grooming

Helping clients with household tasks, including meal preparation, cleaning, and laundry

Accompanying and supporting clients in the community, such as during social outings or appointments

Providing emotional support and engaging clients in meaningful activities

Documenting client progress and communicating with the broader care team

Adhering to all relevant policies, procedures, and safety protocols

What we're looking for

Certificate III in Disability

NDIS Worker Screening Check, Working with Children Check, National Police Clearance, up-to-date CPR and First Aid certification, Medication Administration Training, completed NDIS Orientation Modules, and other mandatory compliance checks as required.

Experience in providing person-centred support to individuals with disabilities

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients

Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to make a positive difference in the lives of others

Reliable, flexible, and able to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and public holidays

A current driver's license and access to reliable transport
