JINDALEE SCHOOL AGE CARE PROGRAM (http://www.jindaleesacp.com.au/) are looking for an exceptional Coordinator to manage and lead their Outside School Hours Care service. The Coordinator role is supported by a strong P&C and is well suited to an experienced OSHC professional with a desire to work with a strong team of Educators and deliver a high quality OSHC service for our community.
This is a permanent full-time position, working 38 hours per week across Monday to Friday, with a flexible work week and majority block shifts. The position is offered at a salary of $95,000 - 100,000 + Super + Workers Retention Grant, depending on experience, with the possibility of negotiation for highly experienced candidates.
The ideal candidate will have robust experience in an OSHC environment with confidence and competence in the day to day operations of the service, administration, human resource management, compliance management including policies and procedures, risk minimization, quality improvement planning, family and community engagement, liaising with key stakeholders and effective, regular reporting to the P&C.
The service currently operates with up to 160 children per ASC (90 BSC, 120 VC). You’ll guide a team of passionate educators, build strong relationships with families and the school, and ensure the delivery of a safe, engaging, and child-led program.

Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the daily operation of our Before and After School Care and Vacation Care programs, ensuring a safe and enriching environment;
Supporting Educational Leaders and educators in delivering inclusive, engaging activities aligned with My Time, Our Place;
Facilitating team meetings, mentoring, and professional development;
Promoting a safe and engaging environment with evidence-based positive behaviour guidance strategies;
Developing, implementing and supervising human resources including; managing staff induction, rostering, staff performance, training compliance, conflict, communication, and employment relations;
Sourcing and maintaining program resources and equipment;
Reflecting on service delivery and guiding continuous improvement;
Lead a dedicated team of educators, inspiring and supporting them to bring out their best;
Build strong relationships with children, families, P&C Association, and the school community, fostering a sense of belonging;
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, maintaining a high level of care and safety;
Keeping abreast of all changes in legislation which may affect the operations of the OSHC service;
Maintaining and updating policies and procedures for the OSHC service;
Attending all P&C meetings as required by its Executive Committee
To be successful in this role, you must hold:
Minimum Diploma in Children Services or equivalent, as per ACECQA guidelines.
Ability to pass or hold: National Police Check, Bankruptcy Check, ASIC check
Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card), First Aid, CPR, Asthma/Anaphylaxis.
Consent to being the Nominated Supervisor.
Selection Criteria:
A minimum of 2 years’ experience in an OSHC leadership position, with a preference for someone with experience operating in a P&C (or similar) setting.
Proven ability to build and maintain supportive and trusting relationships with children and families.
A high level of interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively facilitate teamwork, conflict resolution and support the development of others.
Demonstrated ability to oversee program planning including design, delivery and evaluation.
Demonstrated ability to drive quality improvement
Capacity to work independently, with sound decision-making and time management skills.
Strong knowledge and understanding of the Legislation relating to Education and Care Services, National Quality Framework, MTOP, and Child Care Subsidy (CCS).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Our Hours and Availability
We are looking for a flexible Coordinator who can work a range of shifts (contact and non-contact), based on what is needed to support our families and lead our team effectively, including availability during these hours:
Before School Care: Monday – Friday | 6:30am – 9:00am
After School Care: Monday – Friday | 2:45pm – 6:00pm
Vacation Care: Shifts between 6:30am and 6:00pm [Closed for 2 weeks over Christmas]
