Payroll Specialist
ASAP start – 6 month initial assignment – hybrid office and working from home – Newcastle NSW OR Sydney CBD - $40 - $50 per hour + super
Key accountabilities:

• Undertake end-to-end fortnightly payroll for approximately 300 EBA workers
• Run general payroll each fortnight, undertake independent reconciliations, STP, and UAT
• Answer payroll, leave and reconciliation queries
• Support other payroll areas when required
• Interpretation of leave, pay and allowances clauses in enterprise agreements, awards and contracts of employment
• Executing manual payments (pays outside the regular pay cycle) within guidelines

Selection criteria:

• 2+ years end-to-end payroll experience
• Previous experience using SAP (essential)
• Highly beneficial: experience using Workday
• Ability to work from the office on anchor days and as required
• Excellent communication skills
• Proven working understanding of Australian payroll, statutory and legislative provisions
• Ability to interpret pay, leave and allowances clauses in enterprise agreements
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and Outlook
