About the role
RBWH Cancer Care Service has been named one of the top 100 cancer care centres in the world and one of only three Australian centres on the list. RBWH boasts the largest cancer centre in Queensland. Its Cancer Care Service is one of only six adult centres in Australia accredited for CAR-T collection and administration, and the only centre in Queensland with this expertise. This role ensures the delivery of safe, high-quality, patient-centred care aligned with RBWH's strategic vision fostering a culture of innovation, clinical excellence, continuous improvement, and integrated care while supporting research, teaching, and health equity priorities.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Champion health equity by supporting access to culturally safe and responsive care, particularly for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
- Play a significant role in the planning and development of Cancer Services governed by RBWH, including future capital builds with other key stakeholders.
- Oversee operational and financial performance including achievement of KPIs, patient outcomes, and service growth.
- Accountable for engaging academic partners to strengthen collaboration between clinicians and university researchers.
- Lead the Cancer Care Service line to achieve clinical and service excellence using evidence informed practice and rigorous evaluation of clinical and service outcomes.
