CLEANER - CASUAL

IWC is seeking a casual cleaner worker to deliver services within our Bundaberg Offices.

ABOUT IWC:

IWC is an Aboriginal community-controlled and multi-accredited health and wellbeing organisation that delivers services without discrimination to Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples in Bundaberg and the Wide Bay Burnett.

ABOUT THE POSITION:

The Cleaner will be responsible for various cleaning duties throughout the organisation, including but not limited to; general cleaning duties; cleaning entranceways & entry glass, corridors, kitchen and wet areas, lifts and outdoor areas.

This position must be available to work between the hours of 7:00 am and 7:00 pm, Monday to Friday and 7:00 am to 10:00 pm on Saturdays. Penalty rates will apply.

DUTIES:

• The ability to carry out cleaning duties with limited supervision, work independently and co-operatively participate as a team member, as required.
• The ability to use and maintain cleaning equipment, materials, and chemical supplies.
• The ability to apply Workplace Health and Safety standards.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

• Previous experience working as a cleaner is preferred but not essential.
• Good communication skills.
• Good teamwork.
• High level of confidentiality.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

• A current driver's licence is essential or ability to obtain.
• A First Aid Certificate or ability to obtain.
• A Blue Card (Working with Children Card QLD)* or ability to obtain.
• A Federal Police Check or ability to obtain.

* No Card, No Start legislation means that the successful applicant will need to hold a valid blue card before they start work. IWC will cover the cost of this application for the successful candidate.
