ABOUT THE ROLE
As a DFV Support, you will work in the Client Support team providing best practice social responses to women and children experiencing domestic and family violence.
Welcome clients to their first appointment at Liberty, hold space as they share their story, assess risk, and follow their lead on the next steps/supports
Provide holistic safety and case planning to women and their children experiencing domestic and family violence and/or homelessness
Support clients to transition between Liberty's programs, properties and/or staff by completing warm handovers and attending appointments as required
Effectively manage your case load and maintain accurate and current records and statistical data
Collaborate with other services to strengthen referral pathways and develop innovative, integrated community responses to women and their children experiencing domestic and family violence and/or homelessness
Represent Liberty in community such as attending interagency meetings with stakeholders, including co-location partners, and participating in events as required
ABOUT YOU
The successful applicant will have:
Tertiary qualification in Community Services or Social Work preferred
Experience in risk assessment and safety planning, or wilingness to learn
Experience in case management
Knowledge of relevant legislation
Awareness of Response-Based Practice is desirable
Awareness of DVNSW's Good Practice Guidelines is desirable
Current driver licence
Current Working with Children Check
