Role & Company Overview
Our client are a global investment manager looking for an Investment Compliance Specialist to work alongside the Investment Compliance and Market Conduct Team in a 9-month project role.
This role is pivotal to ensuring the smooth coding and testing of rules from the existing platform (CRIMS – Charles River), into the new system (BRS Aladdin). In this role, you will play a key role in understanding workflows, translating IMAs into system rules, and ensuring regulatory requirements are properly embedded within the platform. You’ll also be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive testing plans, ensuring all compliance rules are accurately uplifted and coded in the new platform.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive testing plan for BRS coding, ensuring all rules are thoroughly lifted from Charles River to Aladdin.
- Collaborate with the Investment Compliance team to understand workflows, requirements, and ensure effective uplift of rules.
- Convert Investment Management Agreements (IMAs) into coded rules within the order management systems.
- Ensure all regulatory requirements, such as UCTIS rules, are correctly incorporated into the new platform.
- Work closely with stakeholders to troubleshoot, resolve issues, and improve system performance.
- Maintain high accuracy and attention to detail throughout the entire process.
Skills & Experience Required
- Proficient BRS Aladdin coder and able to securitise coding and BQL.
- Strong understanding of how BRS Aladdin functions.
- Have a solid understanding of what responsibilities exist for an investment compliance team.
- Experience converting IMAs into coded system rules within global investment platforms.
- Ability to work effectively within a team and independently, with excellent communication skills.
- Experience working within a global financial institution is highly desirable.
