Designed to create a more inclusive future for people with a disability, injury and/or a health condition, IEA places each person’s unique goals and needs at the heart of the program. Participants will receive personalised support to prepare for, secure and maintain sustainable employment.
gforce is seeking an experienced Employment Consultant to focus on finding employment outcomes for participants by identifying opportunities and securing placements. This role work to achieve sustainable employment outcomes for participants by building and maintaining effective relationships with local employers, pro-actively understanding their resourcing needs and successfully matching candidates to opportunities.
The Role
As an IEA Employment Consultant, you will engage with jobseekers to understand their goals, skills, and support needs and developing tailored employment plans and provide pre‑employment preparation.
You will partner with employers to identify inclusive opportunities and place candidates into meaningful roles, building on your strong relationships within the local Geelong community.
You will provide ongoing post‑placement support to both participants and employers and assisting in facilitating workplace adjustments as needed to ensure success.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have experience in employment services, ideally in the DES program, or in disability support.
You will have strong communication and relationship‑building skills with diverse stakeholders and have a solutions‑focused approach with the ability to motivate others.
You’ll be a strong team player, able to prioritise workloads, use initiative and multi-task. You will be self-motivated and have high level of computer literacy.
