Why this role exists

Have you always wanted to make a greater impact in the Early Childhood sector – and be part of a team that’s driven, collaborative, and genuinely puts children and educators first?

At Hourglass Time Education, we partner with early learning services to lift quality, compliance, leadership, and culture — not through checklists, but through connection, coaching, and curiosity.

We’re growing and looking for an Early Childhood Quality Partner who can coach, mentor, and deliver high-impact support to services, both on site, online, and through professional learning programs.

You’ll be supported by our CEO, Michelle Walsh, and an experienced team with structured onboarding, guidance, and ongoing training. You’ll have autonomy, trust, and the tools to succeed, plus a community that celebrates every win, lesson, and moment of growth.

This is a consulting and coaching role, not a management position. Our Early Childhood Partners work alongside service leaders and educators to guide and build their capacity, helping them strengthen their own systems, processes, and professional practice with clarity and confidence. We provide guidance with our Proprietary Models.

What you’ll do

Partner with services to conduct Quality Health Checks (Mock Assessments & Compliance Visits), PowerQIPing™ training and support, coaching calls, and Preschool Boost Program delivery.

Design and/or deliver engaging training sessions, online PD, and leadership programs.

Contribute to projects aligned with OECD priorities and national quality initiatives.

Manage your own client relationships, proposals, and partnerships with professionalism and efficiency.

Create resources such as slides, templates, and tools to help services embed practice quickly and effectively.

Balance work-from-home days with travel to services across SA and occasional interstate trips.

Attend team meetings and planning days to collaborate toward shared goals and impact.

What you’ll bring

Qualifications: ECT degree or Diploma in Early Childhood Education & Care.

Experience: Leadership or operational experience in ECEC (e.g. Director, Educational Leader, or Area Manager), with a strong understanding of the NQF, NQS, and child development. Experience in training delivery or facilitation is highly regarded.

Influence, Inspire & Impact: Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, and lead with discernment and heart, inspiring educators and creating lasting change.

People & communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to present with confidence and build trust quickly. Experience with technology and systems highly regarded.

Ways of working: positive mindset, open to change and feedback, self-driven, highly organised, thrives autonomously from a home office and embraces innovation, including AI tools.

Experience with or confidence with sales: as a Consultant you are responsible for attracting and retaining clients, responding to inquiries and engaging in our social media content creation.

Desirable: Circle of Security – Classroom Approach Facilitator.

The work style

· Hybrid role: Work from home with regular travel to services and some interstate visits.

· Evening facilitation: Some evening training delivery as part of the professional learning calendar (time in lieu available).

· Tools & support: Laptop and tech provided; regular planning sessions, mentoring, and check-ins with the CEO.

Why you’ll love working with us

At Hourglass Time Education, we do things differently. We combine high expectations with deep care, because when educators feel supported, children thrive.

Joining our team means you will:

Be part of a forward-thinking organisation shaping leadership and quality across Australia.

Work alongside passionate professionals who believe in reflection, curiosity, and calm.

Contribute to national projects that influence policy and practice in early childhood education.

Receive ongoing mentoring, training, and professional growth opportunities.

Be part of a culture that values gratitude, curiosity, and progress.
