We are seeking a suitably qualified person to join our team in a permanent role. We install and manufacture all manner of public works, from landscaping, furniture and playground equipment to signage and bollards. We require a person who is willing to learn, work independently and at times within a team.

The successful applicant will have experience in varying construction methods, and an understanding of technical and site drawings. They will be working with timber, steel, plastics and concrete and must be capable of learning the specific requirements to successfully complete installations. All installations are independently audited for compliance with Australian design and safety standards.

Business vehicles are used to travel between the workshop and sites, machinery, tools and equipment are provided. The workshop is based in Morley, Western Australia, near public transport.

Duties / Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the successful applicant include but are not limited to,

· Post installation inspections.

· Post installation maintenance of equipment.

· Installation of equipment, ensuring it meets the Australian Safety and design standards and the specifications of the manufacturer.

· Interpretation of technical drawings to manufacture specific componentry.

· Operation of power tools and site machinery required to successfully install equipment.

· Site pre-start checks to ensure the proposed installation method is suitable and adequate for the proposed site.

· Site works where required. Concreting hardscapes, limestone retaining and level setting to ensure installations meet technical specifications.

· Hydraulic press operation, during the manufacturing of steel and roping components.

· Hydraulic punch operation, during the manufacturing of steel components.

· Band-saw / Drop-saw and plasma cutter operation for manufacturing components.

· Liaising with clientele on site, ensuring the work performed meets the requirements of the client.

· Drill press operation, during the manufacturing of components.

· Operation of other power tools used in the manufacturing and finishing processes.

Applicants will need to be able to comply with all site requirements which may include producing a 0% drug and alcohol test result.

Requirements

· Construction White Card

· Hi-Vis clothing, steel capped boots and PPE (Site specific clothing supplied)

· “C” Class Manual Licence

· Construction Experience
