We are a Perth-based telecommunications contracting company seeking a skilled Telecommunications Technician to join our team. You will support a wide range of projects across the industry, including exchange network infrastructure, carrier projects, mine-site installations, regional and remote deployments, and fibre network builds.
Key responsibilities
Install, configure and maintain telecom equipment, cabinets and power systems (DC power systems and batteries)
Perform equipment installations and cabling for carriers, mines and exchange networks
Carry out fibre splicing, termination and testing (experience advantageous but not essential)
Support construction and commissioning of fibre network builds and site handovers
Work on regional and remote project sites across Western Australia; travel and site stays will be required
Candidates must be available for occasional overnight travel and extended regional stays as work is currently available all over WA
Adhere to safety procedures and site-specific requirements, and complete accurate job documentation
Skills & experience
Minimum 2 years proven field experience in telecommunications or related industry
Competent with practical installations, cabling and basic fault-finding
Experience with DC power systems and battery installation/maintenance highly regarded
Familiarity with carrier projects, exchange infrastructure, mine-site telecom standards and fibre works advantageous
Ability to work independently and in teams across regional and remote locations

Previous experience working within Telecommunications networks
First Aid & CPR certificate
Industry OHS white card
Have proven DC and earthing experience
Proven experience with installation of batteries and load testing
Valid Drivers License
Be a team player and motived to work
Be punctual and respectful
Well presented with a good attitude.
On offer for the right candidate is a full-time position with a late model work vehicle, good hourly rates and super paid at 12% on top of wages. We also pay full penalty rates for any overtime, weekend or nights worked. We are an established telecommunications company with ongoing work on various projects across the state and are committed to ongoing training and assistance to help you grow.
