About the role:
Council is seeking an application from an enthusiastic, experienced and suitably qualified person to join our team as Local Laws / Animal Control Officer.
About you:
The successful candidate will:
· Assist the Senior Local Laws Officer through administration and enforcement of Councils regulatory functions. This includes the Community Local Law 2022, Domestic Animals Act 1994, Local Government Act 2020 and other relevant Acts.
· Assist in the investigation into compliance matters including dog attacks, complaints from the community such as noise or nuisance animals.
· Support the Senior Local Laws Officer in reviewing, updating and implementing policies, procedures and strategic plans for local laws and animal management.
· Assist in the development and delivery of programs around responsible pet ownership, local laws education and animal management.
