We have an opportunity available for a surveyor to join the team of a state government department based at Queanbeyan.

This role will involve working under the guidance of the Senior Registered Surveyor, to conduct a diverse range of surveys including topographic, infrastructure and cadastral surveys. You will also work autonomously to undertake less complex surveys.

Applicants will be required to hold tertiary qualifications (TAFE or university) in Surveying with experience in the surveying industry. We may also consider applicants who are working towards their qualification.

You will need to be able to demonstrate your experience in using modern survey instrumentation and the application of surveying principles. You will be required to undertake project planning, take ownership of equipment and vehicle maintenance, and ensure your work adheres to safety standards at all times.

Please note that this is a field-based role requiring regular travel and overnight stays. Applicants must hold a current Australian driver licence and have a willingness to travel within NSW. You will also need to possess sufficient fitness to walk long distances over varying landscape and terrain situations.

This position is being offered for an initial period until 30 June 2026, with an immediate start of work available.
