Due to business growth, we are currently seeking an energetic, highly motivated and adaptable Dispatch Officer / General Hand to join our friendly, supportive and successful team.

Label Power print high quality full colour labels and provide cost-effective printing solutions.

Based in Acacia Ridge, we design and print full colour labels, stickers and tags - including beer labels, chemical labels, cosmetic labels, food labels, wine labels and custom labels. Label Power uses state of the art digital and flexographic printing technology to print stunning and creative labels.

About the Position

The ideal candidate will be flexible, adaptable and able to prioritise multiple tasks, ensuring goods are packed and sent as required, whilst taking care of equipment and contributing to a safe, and positive workplace. Additionally, the successful applicant will support our qualified printers as needed. Once established in this role, motivated team members may have the opportunity to progress their career, learning and gaining new skills to progress within Label Power. For team members with strong mechanical skills and the enthusiasm to grow, Label Power offers opportunities to progress your career to Machine Operator then possibly to Digital and Flexographic printing!

Some specific duties include:

Ensure QA and WHS procedures and policies are adhered

Picking and packing of printed labels off presses and shelf stock

Arrange freight and transport

Label cartons as required and place goods in appropriate area for collection

Liaise with transport companies and couriers especially special requests and urgent deliveries

Assist with loading of trucks

Attend daily production meetings

Support and assist the qualified printers and warehouse team with cleaning, lifting, moving of master rolls of finished labels, general assistance as required.

Perform general hand duties on a daily basis in both dispatch and production.

Ensure goods are signed out according to procedure

Ensure the efficient and timely receipt of raw materials and purchased products

Ensure storage, retrieval and internal movement of goods

Maintain the overall fabric of the factory and surrounding external areas, especially in cleanliness and safety departments.

About You

We are looking for individuals who meet the following requirements:

Experience in dispatch and / or warehousing (or equivalent)

Have a current drivers license, preferably

Computer literacy skills

Physically capable of tasks which may include dirty work, heavy lifting, etc.

Ability to work as a key member of a team

Australian Citizenship or right to work in Australia on a permanent basis

Fork lift license, highly regarded (not essential)
