CVGT Employment is entering an exciting new chapter with the launch of the Inclusive Employment Australia (IEA) program - an evolution in how we support people with disability, injury, or health conditions to find meaningful, sustainable work. As part of this transformation, we’re hiring across multiple roles and locations to build a passionate team ready to make a real difference.

About Us

At CVGT Employment, we believe meaningful work transforms lives. Since 1983, we’ve been connecting people to opportunity, supporting businesses with capable talent, and strengthening the communities we serve. As a not-for-profit, for-purpose organisation with a presence across Victoria, New South Wales, and Tasmania, we’re proud to champion inclusive employment pathways.

West & North West ESA

This role operates across the West and North West Tasmania Employment Services Area (ESA), with key locations in Burnie and Devonport, and outreach services extending to surrounding regional and rural communities, including the North West Coast, Central Highlands, and West Coast regions.

What You’ll Do

As a Team Leader in the IEA program, you’ll support and guide a growing team to deliver person-centred services that empower participants with disability, injury, or health conditions to achieve sustainable employment. Reporting to the Employment Services Area (ESA) Manager, you’ll combine strategic leadership with hands-on support, fostering a culture of care, accountability, and continuous improvement.

  • Lead with Purpose: Support the team through regular coaching, supervision, and feedback, fostering a culture of empathy, professionalism, and continuous growth.
  • Deliver Person-Centred Support: Guide your team to deliver tailored, strength-based support that empower participants to achieve meaningful employment.
  • Model Best Practice: Manage a caseload and provide hands-on support to demonstrate service excellence and build team capability.
  • Strengthen Partnerships: Foster collaboration with internal teams, employers, and community organisations to expand inclusive employment pathways.
  • Program Performance: Monitor caseloads, team performance, and support service delivery to meet contractual, compliance, and quality standards.

What You Bring

  • Leadership Experience: Proven ability to lead and coach teams in a performance-driven environment.
  • Relevant Background: A Certificate or Diploma in Community or Employment Services (or related field) or lived experience navigating support systems to achieve education or employment outcomes is highly regarded.
  • Person-Centred Expertise: Strong background in strengths-based case management and supporting participants with diverse needs.
  • Emotional Intelligence: You build trust and encourage collaboration through empathy, resilience, and authenticity.
  • Tech Savvy: Confident with Microsoft Office, CRM systems, and digital tools.
  • Pre-Requisites: Full eligibility to work in Australia, with the ability to travel locally and obtain a National Police Check, Working with Children Check, and/or Vulnerable Persons Check.
